How it works

  1. Pick how you get paid

    Turn on the ones you take: Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, Apple Pay (Apple Cash), cash, check. Customers see only those.

  2. Send the invoice

    Lines are filled in from the accepted proposal or your quote. Change them if the job changed.

  3. The customer pays from their page

    Venmo, Cash App and PayPal buttons open the app with the amount filled in. Zelle and Apple Pay details have copy buttons.

  4. Record it

    When the money arrives, record the payment. A receipt is made and the balance updates.

Getting paid on time

  • Send the invoice the day the job is done, while the customer is happy with the work.
  • Put the ticket number in every payment note so you can match payments later.
  • For bigger jobs, take a deposit for materials before you buy them.
  • Venmo has separate personal and business profiles with different rules. Use the one that fits how you work.

Questions

Does Hardyproof process payments?

No. The buttons open the payment app directly. We never receive or hold money.

Can I take cards?

Not through Hardyproof. Venmo, Cash App and PayPal let customers pay with a card inside their app.

Can I fix a mistake?

Yes. Void a payment and its receipt is re-issued marked VOID; the history keeps both.
